GTA 6: How to Play Early Using the New Zealand Trick

Itching to step foot into Vice City already? We totally get it. The good news is that there's a classic workaround to launch GTA 6 early on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles: the famous New Zealand time zone trick. The logic is simple. By setting your console region or profile to New Zealand (UTC+13), you trick the store servers into unlocking the digital game as soon as midnight strikes in that region. Depending on your actual location, this grants you early access several hours ahead of the local rollout. On Xbox, switching your region takes just a few clicks in system settings. On PS5, things are slightly more rigid, as you typically need a dedicated New Zealand PSN account to make it work. Get ready, Vice City is almost within reach.
