GTA 6's price: ten dollars more, 450 million better

11 July 2026
Seventy-nine ninety-nine. Ten dollars above what the industry had trained us to expect. On paper, a modest bump. Multiplied by the expected volume, it's worth roughly $450 million in extra revenue. Rockstar is about the only studio in a position to do it. Nobody is walking away from GTA 6 over ten dollars, and the publisher knows it. That's the privilege of owning everyone's attention. The real loser is the retailer. Shops are openly worried about physical pre-orders, which are sliding against digital — no surprise when the box contains nothing but a code. What it means for you: the price is not coming down before launch. The few believable discounts (around €60) come from retailers eating their own margin to pull people in, not from Rockstar. If you spot one at an official seller, it won't last.
